Julie Conley is on your side...and at your side.

I want to work with the people in District 10 to protect the North Florida way of life and to expand economic opportunity. To ensure that I have a real understanding of the issues that stand in the way of progress, I have pledged to work a day in each county of the District doing a job that is typical of jobs held by the citizens there. I am on your side…and at your side.

Work Day

This is a strategy employed for years by U.S. Senator Bob Graham and involves real work in real jobs. Working side-by-side with District 10 residents over the course of a day I can listen to them, learn first hand about their concerns and better represent them. I have already begun this process by working in Franklin County, Hamilton County, Madison County and Taylor County. In Franklin County, I worked at Fred’s Best Seafood in East Point and helped the staff clean and process oysters for re-sale. In Hamilton County, I worked at the H&F Restaurant in Jasper, reporting for work at 5:00 am and helping prepare and serve meals. In Madison County, I worked in the library at North Florida Community College in Madison, assisting students and faculty by checking out materials and re-stocking shelves. And in Taylor County, I worked with Karl Weiss and his staff at the TruValue Hardware Store in Perry. I am on your side…and at your side.

Over the coming months, I will be working real jobs in other counties in the district and I pledge to continue the practice if elected. For those of you who know me, you know I am not afraid of confronting problems and working hard to resolve them. For those who don’t know me, I hope my workdays will demonstrate my willingness to listen, to learn and to work hard to improve the lives of the people in District 10.

I am on your side…and at your side.

Sincerely,
