Camisole 101
Did you know camisole is a clinical term for a straight jacket? Now how did that happen? A probable reason for this is that many years ago, camisole refers to jackets of various kinds. When you talk about camisole now, there is one thing that comes to mind: lingerie. For those who do not have the slightest idea what a camisole is (probably the men), camisoles is a female undershirt. It is loose-fitting and covers the upper body. There are some camisoles that are cropped in order to expose the midriff. You should not worry if you are looking for a long camisole though; there are some that reach the waist.
Some camisoles have thin spaghetti straps. You can wear a camisole over a brassier but there are some women who wear it on itself. If you are conscious about not wearing a brassier, what you can do is to buy the ones that have a built-in underwire bra. Believe it or not, camisoles these days are even worn as an outwear!
Because camisoles are worn as an undergarment, you wouldn’t want it to be made out of heavy and hot material right? Majority of them are made out of light materials, including cotton, satin, and silk. Camisole is definitely a must have so make sure that you have a couple in your closet!
